Governor Ortom Calls For the Release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu
The Benue State Governor, Mr. Samuel Ortom has called on Buhari regime to release the detained IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu if those calling for peace in the country are serious about it.
Even Boko Haram members who pose a greater threat to the country’s unity have often been pardoned, freed and reintegrated into the society, the Governor bemoaned.
He opined that his is a political issue that requires political solution to be dealt with.
His Excellency is not the first person who is demanding for the release of MNK, as his supporters have been doing sit at home on Mondays and his court days in the South East Region of the country as a way to get Government attention on the issue. But no one seem to be be in charge of the sit at home order, as it has been taken over by faceless entities masquerading as freedom fighters.
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo too has lend their voice to the call for the release of MNK but Buhari body language is not with them.

If the peace process in the country is to be taken seriously, I call for the release of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu. This is a socio-political challenge that must be dealt with politically.
