Bayelsa CJ Declares No Court Holidays During The NBA National Conference

Report coming from NBA publicity Secretary, Bayelsa branch has informed concern lawyers that there’s no court scheduled holidays in the State due to the ongoing NBA conference.

However, lawyers whose matters are scheduled during this period are advised to do the needful by filling letters of adjournment at the courts.

Good evening learned seniors and colleagues. I trust this notice meets you well.

 

This is to notify members of the Bar that Monday the 25th – Friday the 29th October 2021 have not been declared court free by the Chief Judge. So members having matters fixed on any of the said dates are enjoined to file letters of adjournment to enable the court adjourn same while counsel are attending the NBA Conference.

 

We have been assured by the Honourable the Chief Judge of Bayelsa State that her brother Judges will honour such letters of adjournment.

 

We therefore enjoin members to do or cause the needful to be done in order to secure adjournments for more convenient dates.
