Shettima Was Allegedly Behind the Abduction of Chibok Girls which he Exploited to Unseat GEJ

A letter has resurfaced online showing how Nyesom Wike the then Minister of Education under GEJ presidency, writing to Shettima, Tinubu’s running mate who was the incumbent Governor of Borno at that time; instructing him to move the Chibok girls due to the escalating insecurity but he refused to carry out such instruction.

Since the abduction of Chibok girls was a major political landmine for the All Progressives Congress, APC of which Shettima is a prominent member, will it be appropriate that we should reward such man with a Vice president candidate of a Ruling political party.

They should be consequences for actions and inaction, Shettima was the chief executive officer of Borno State when Chibok girls happened. He should accept responsibility for that cruel act, rather than shifting the buck to Jonathan who warned him before hand on the security situation of his state.

Chibok incident played a major role in GEJ’s loss in 2015 and 8 years after, you guys are really considering a ticket that has the main culprit as VP.

GEJ’s FG had advised that students sitting for the exams should be moved to the state capitals because of insecurity.

The girls of Chibok were kidnapped by Boko Haram during the exams and GEJ (rightly) went down for it at the polls in 2015. Shettima on the other hand faced no retribution for it and he is presently vying for VP; and there’s a good chance his party may win.
