Crime: Nigerian Police Beats up Lawyer for Advising them Against Driving Through One way, but Apologies Later when They Realized the Status of their Captive

That Nigerian police is in dire need of urgent reform is an understatement. News has it that a responsible Nigerian Citizen, Ridwan Oke, an attorney at Law attempted to inform police that they are driving through one way, only to be arrested, beaten and intimidated for attempting to do the right thing in an insane society.

As always, the police men later apologized when they realized that the person arrested is a lawyer. You could imagine what would have happened if it were to be an ordinary citizen.

Swears bro. When the calls were becoming too much, the IPO said, ”I no know say you be big man”. Should it have mattered whether I am a “Big man” or Small man? Shouldn’t the fact that I am a citizen with rights matter? We have indisciplined ppl enforcing laws in Nigeria.
