Murder in Ode-Remo, As Husband Murders Wife with Scissors

Heaven becomes hell as residents of  Oke-Ola Area of Ode-Remo, besides Alhaji Kamorun House were thrown into panic as a distress cry of a young lady was heard, calling for help as the husband attacked her ferociously with a scissors.

An eyes witness account at the scene of the crime has it that the young lady ran out of their hostel apartment calling for help, only for the aflamed husband to drag her back to the house, bolt the door as he continues the slaughtering of the lady who had one child for him, an eyes recounted.

As always, the cry for help by the victim prompted neighbors to rush to the house but the murder bound man refused to open the door for them to rescue her. They broke the window with no luck of gaining access as they saw the blood of the murdered wife already flowing on the floor of the room and parlour self contain apartment.

All efforts to get the aflamed man to open the door proved abortve, compelling the neighbors to put a distress call to the police at Ode-Remo, police Divisional Headquarters who quickly rushed to the scene, but all pleas and efforts t to get the echanted man to open the door proved abortive, compelling the police to call for reinforcement that helped them to open the door ; carried the body of the lady to Isara General where the Doctor on duty pronounce her dead. The man was immediately arrested by the police.

A 24 years old man, Mojiyagbe Olamilekan, a resident of Oke ola area of Ode Remo has been arrested by men of Ogun state police command for killing his wife.
The suspect was arrested following a distress call received by the police in Ode Remo divisional headquarters at about 3 pm of Wednesday 3rd of November 2021, that the suspect locked himself and his wife one Seun Mojiyagbe up in their room, and started beating the wife, it was the wailing of the wife that attracted the neighbors, who tried all efforts to persuade the suspect to open the door but he refused.
Upon the distress call, the Dpo Ode Remo division, CSP Olayemi Fagbohun, quickly mobilized his men and moved to the scene where the door to the couple’s apartment was forced opened. The victim was met lying down unconscious in the pool of her own blood.
She was quickly rushed to the state hospital in Isara Remo where she was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty.
The husband was promptly arrested and taken to custody, while the corpse of the victim has been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.
Meanwhile, the commissioner of police CP Lanre Bankole has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to homicide section of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation with the view to charge him to court as soon as possible.
