
Poverty Alert: Another Stampede for Food Allegedly Reported in Okija, Killing Many people
At the risk of sounding repetitive, all is not well with the country, especially as Tinubu economic reforms take heavy toll on households disposable income to the extent that most Families are struggling to survive on the barest necessities such as food.
A video making it round on X @chude has shown yet to be identified dead bodies reportedly died from stampede while struggling to get rice from Obi Jackson Foundation in Okija, Anambra State. This is one tragedy too many as the nation is yet to recover from the 45 children who died in Ibadan while seeking palliatives.

May the deceased Families find God grace through which to live through this tragedy of monumental proportion. And those who are into philanthropy must do more to avert these sort of tragedies that envelopes the nation now. Such noble gesture should not be allowed to spiral out of control especially now that we have Army of famished and impoverished citizens everywhere.
Indeed, it is high time those who formulate our economic policies go for immediate review, as things are no longer at ease, to borrow Chinua Achebe title.
